:
50 mL (10 mL min.) aliquot of 24-hour urine. Add 10 g (pediatric: 3 g) of boric acid or 25 mL (pediatric:15 mL) of 50% acetic acid as preservative at start of collection and collect urine for 24 hrs. Donot use concentrated HCL. Record 24 hr urine volume on test request form and urine container.
