10 mL (5 mL min.) aliquot of 24-hour urine. Prefered preservative is 25 ml 50% acetic acid. Record 24 hours urine volume on test request form and urine container. If 24 hour urine is collected in multiple containers, it needs to be pooled before measuring the volume.Refrigerate specimen during and after collection.
